“Things you do for others remain as your legacy.”

-Keeana Barber

Beginning in event promotion, Keeana quickly learned the needs of her industry, growing WDB Marketing into one of the largest print manufacturers in Illinois’ Cook County.  Proudly Black owned and operated, WDB Marketing’s offerings support thousands of minority owned businesses and professionals every year.

Keeana Barber, Founder & CEO of WDB Marketing, has been supporting Black Owned businesses for more than 15 years.  To date her company has supported over 5,000 small businesses with their marketing and printing needs.  Keeana is also the  visionary behind the WDB L.E.G.A.C.Y. Awards Gala. The event attracts over 700 of the top businesses and entrepreneurs throughout the city and to date has given over $50,000 in prizes to young entrepreneurs.

In addition to the WDB Marketing brand, Keeana is also the Founder and Chief Editor for Voice of The Chi, a digital and print media publication, highlighting and celebrating Chicago culture in the areas of community and business. She is also the executive director of WDB Cares, NFP, a non-profit that focuses on helping Black-Owned businesses and young entrepreneurs scale.  Keeana’s mission is to use her gift to empower others.  Her ultimate goal is to leave a legacy of helping thousands of entrepreneurs create sustainable businesses that positively impact their surrounding community.

When out of the office, Keeana donates her time, serving as a community business leader with various organizations including Chamber 57 where she serves as a Board Member, the Africa Global Chamber of Commerce, and the Southland SBDC.

Family is the center of her focus, where she strives daily to create an environment that fosters inclusion, extending to her clients, staff, partners, friends, and family.  Daily, Keeana works alongside her mother, Leah Barber, to continue the Whatz Da Bizniz legacy her late brother Bobby began in 2006.
